Well, Gary and I were talking about YJ and our topic suddenly turned to the sports CCA in YJ.

Yes. The guy you see here is none other than Ryan; the Captain of YJC Rugby team. (oh. and please ignore the pinafore-ed bimbo FLEA there... hehe)

Granted. I know that our Rugby team isnt exactly doing well and we're perhaps not as great as the the Rugby legends that used to inhabit in YJ.

However, I jus wanted to take this chance to Talk about this great guy Ryan here.

During the 1st three months, we did have a variety of buddies in YJC. Those days were the most fun as we trained and learned the sport together.

Of course, there were some talks about who would end up as YJ rugby captain. Who could deny that Charles was damn good in Rugby and was a good contender for the spot. Then there's also the ambitious and outspoken Issac and not to mention our fleet footed Gabriel.

Honestly, if i were you, no one would have thought that our own Mr bean ( Ryan's nickname ) would be the one eventually.

Of course, Ryan might not be as well-versed in the sport as compared to them, but one exemplary thing about him is perhaps his superb attitude towards Rugby.

Despite being the appointed captain, Ryan never stopped learning and alway put himself in our shoes, coming down to our level to bring the team up. His earnest and magnamious personality is something that I always had respect for. He never seem to take it upon him that he knew everything and his keen interest in never stopping to train and learn more was really inspiring.

His modesty is simply remarkable and i never regretted voting him as the team captain. Of course, at the current miserale state of rugby now, being the captain isnt a big deal but Ryan really inspired me that day.

I remember during the testimonial match, he went urging the demoralised lot of us...

" COME ON GUYS! I KNOW YOU GUYS CAN DO IT. JUST PUSH!"

never one to put us down and always encouraging, that thing he said really inspired me lots. Not to mention he always seem to turn into a grizzly bear once on the field, FURIOUS. haha

Even though Rugby may have come to a cease, the talk with Gary today really reminded me of how great a captain Ryan was. The often soft-spoken big guy was actually such a great leader. He really showed me that a captain with compassion and modesty yet not without drive is perhaps the best captain one can ask for.

It really made me, this vice captain really ashamed of myself. haha

and to be honest, everyone knows how much of a skeptical person I am and to earn my respect isnt an easy thing but Ryan has managed to do so.
So Ryan.....

DUDE! YOU HAVE MY.......

Cant wait to train with you again next year.

Who knew that I could be a loner...

The morning was spent in detention from 8am to 1pm, accompained by Weineng and Suhaidah.

This was followed by me going to North point and comtemplating about whether to ta bao home my lunch or have it alone.

Well, normally I would have done the former as everyone knows that I can't be by myself.

But I chose to have my lunch alone in yishun GV BK instead. I was trying to convince myself to sit there and do my work.

and to my surprise.. I did. I spent the next few hours being alone and i got quite a lot of work done.

Being a loner is rather therupeutic... i think I will do it more often. Turns out I'm actually a loner at heart.

Or maybe its been the late events that triggered such a change in me.

Whatever the answer, everything will jus have to wait till after promos.

Thanks to everyone for your concern. While the matter has not come to a closure nor has a definate answer been given. I'm still holding on.

I'm jus afraid... the sole thing that keeps me going... will kill me at the end of promos.

Sometimes i wish that I could take you out of my dreams and hug you for real.
